The House of Abigail is the creative home of renowned British interior designer Abigail Coles Tromans and her dedicated team.
With a passion for British aesthetics and an unwavering commitment to excellence, we craft exquisite interiors that capture the essence of heritage and modernity.
Abigail’s Journey
Abigail's love for design began in childhood, with imaginative play setting the stage for her future as an interior designer.
Surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Chiltern Hills and frequent visits to heritage-rich locations, Abigail's aesthetic sensibilities were nurtured from a young age. Her childhood was a rich visual schedule of visits to national trust properties, summer holidays on the idyllic Cornish and Devon coastline, and many (many) walking holidays in the Lake District. Without realising it, she had an extracurricular education in heritage British aesthetics and exposure to the rich palette of the great British outdoors.
Abigail’s love for Britain’s iconic style of layered prints, tweed cloth as well as block printed and botanical prints, was influential in developing her own design style from the off.
Having completed her A Levels, Abigail embarked on a degree in Architecture and Sustainable Design, graduating with an accreditation from the Royal Institute of British Architecture in 2009.
By 2014, Abigail was leading the interior design and styling for marketing campaigns for a National retailer.
The Table Creative and Beyond
In 2016, she and her husband, Philip, founded the successful digital agency, The Table Creative.
It quickly grew to be one of the leading production houses for CGI in the UK, in no small part due to Abigail’s unparalleled interior design, merchandise and styling know-how, lovingly applied to every image.
Her experience of show home design and work with national retailers led to the consistent creation of highly effective, aspirational and relatable visual content.
In turn, it led to the adoption of CGI for marketing by UK home brands who'd previously shunned the process because of it’s unrelatable styling.
As the reach of the company's client list grew and the prominence of Abigail's designs on the UK 'high street', others started asking —

Unveiling The House of Abigail
Driven by her vision to empower homeowners, Abigail founded The House of Abigail in 2023.
Abigail decided it was time to share what she’d learnt and help realise her vision for every aspirational homeowner to be empowered to create their own curated British interior.
No longer the preserve of the country estate owner or London mansion house, you too can have contemporary but familiarly Britain’s heritage interiors. Abigail and her team will help unpack the once stuffy and exclusive world of British interiors and enable you to achieve the look you love with a lot of fun and encouragement along the way!
