Dear Friends,
Since childhood visits to National Trust houses, I’ve been drawn to the contrast between the opulence of the Upstairs rooms and the quiet charm of the Downstairs quarters. One was grand and pattern-filled, the other practical and understated - yet both deeply beautiful in their own way.
This contrast lies at the heart of my design philosophy. By blending the elegance of Upstairs with the simplicity of Downstairs, I’ve created a style I call Modern British Heritage - a playful, thoughtful mix of classic prints and practical textures.
My hand-drawn wallpapers and fabrics reimagine historic motifs - from brocades and botanicals to humble stripes and block prints - all scaled and coloured for modern homes, whether country house or city flat. Each design celebrates heritage while embracing the rhythm of everyday life.
I hope these patterns bring a touch of Britain’s rich design legacy into your own home - with warmth, character, and a hint of playful nostalgia.
